Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN is a nationally recognized Culinary Nutritionist, author, educator, speaker, and consultant with over 30 years of experience at the intersection of food, functional nutrition, and healing. Her book, What the Fork Are You Eating?, is a practical guide for anyone seeking to take control of their health and navigate food choice with clarity and confidence. She is the co-founder of WTFork.com, a no-nonsense digital platform inspired by her book, that focuses on food, nutrition, and cooking.
Stefanie holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist®, a Board-Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, and a graduate of the Chef’s Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. Her academic and professional credentials are grounded in a deeply personal journey of recovery from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), chronic illness, and disordered eating—experiences that profoundly inform her approach to nourishment and healing.
In addition to working with a wide range of conditions, Stefanie has pioneered hands-on, trauma-informed culinary nutrition experiences that educate, empower, and transform. Her work bridges the gap between science and the kitchen, offering sustainable solutions for individuals, families, and communities.
She has collaborated with some of the nation’s top integrative and functional medicine practitioners and has advised cultural icons such as Jean-Georges Vongerichten. She has also worked alongside organizations like Teachers College, Columbia University, the Environmental Working Group, and Luv Michael/US Autism Homes. In 2022, she authored The Health Benefits of a Plant-Forward Diet for the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.
