Stefanie holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist®, a Board-Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, and a graduate of the Chef’s Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts.
Her lived experience is the foundation of her learned expertise, shaping her approach to working with individuals and groups to foster optimal wellness. For nearly three decades, she has collaborated with leading integrative functional medicine doctors and has transformed the way people eat through hands-on experiences that inspire, educate, and empower. She provides practical tools to help individuals make sustainable food and lifestyle changes.
As a chef, nutritionist, and innate healer, Stefanie sees food and culinary education as a catalyst for deep transformation. She is passionate about helping people reclaim their health and live to their fullest potential through nourishing choices. Her book, What The Fork Are You Eating, is a must-read guide for anyone looking to make meaningful food changes—big or small—for lifelong well-being.
Over the years, she has worked with those in movies, television, music, fashion and more. In addition, she has offered her expertise to global culinary icon Jean Georges Vongerichten as well as prominent institutions and organizations including Environmental Working Group where she was commissioned to write The Health Benefits of a Plant Forward Diet for the 2022 White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health; Teachers College, Columbia University; Cornell Cooperative Extension; and Luv Michael/US Autism Homes. She also has an extensive archive of broadcast, radio, print and digital contributions on the topic of healthy choices.
In 2017 Stefanie was inducted into Les Dames D'Escoffier, an international philanthropic organization of women leaders in the field of food, fine beverage, and hospitality. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Nutrition Association, and sits on the advisory board of A Greener World.
A native New Yorker, Stefanie lives on the East End of Long Island with her husband, two very active sons and Faith, her beloved rescue lab. When she is not in her kitchen creating new recipes or feeding her family and friends, she is cheering her boys on in their respective sports, reading a good book, writing slam poetry, swimming in the bay or hiking in the woods with her pup.
